Checking out my wigwam

First off
I have a date with a scientist on sunday. How cool is that.
Secondly a guy checked me out today as we passed each other and we both did that look back thing. That was hot.
And I think that is it.
Wish me luck on my date.

Drama on route 41E (E for express)

En route today to the Rexdale library there was great drama on the bus.
The passengers were all fine. No freak outs.
It was the bus driver.
First she could not get her seat the way she wanted it.
We stopped twice just so she could adjust it.
Then the thing that pushed her over the edge . . .
The back doors would not open
and the bus driver she would just not let it go.
There was only about 7 of us on the bus but she was determined that the backdoors were gonna open. So everytime we had to stop to let someone off she would go back and fidget with it. Kick it, yell at it, you name it.
Then she stopped the bus to call someone on her cell phone.
We then had to shut down the bus and restart it just to see if she could reset the bus's . . . whatever.
Nothing worked.
She was not happy.
But her lipstick still looked great.

Preyed Upon

Today at 12:30 I became a permanent employee of the Toronto Public Library. They will find it very difficult to get rid of me now. Ha!
However like many things in life this was sort of anti-climactic. I was the only one who was counting down, so I am the only one who really knew. My co-worker was aware and she made me some vegan brownies, so that was nice.
I am gonna go home and eat real cake.

Gonna be as hard as a stone

I was unable to sleep on saturday night.
I am not sure why.
But I did end up throwing up so maybe I was sick.
But I think it was emotional stuff.
But for the first time in forever I did not just drift off to sleep, I was unable to even contemplate it.
I got up, found my dvd player operating instructions and finally got the thing to play by Australian dvd. Then I watched the movie Palindromes.
Not a happy movie and not one to watch when you are not feeling the bets.
But I found that I could not stop myself from watching it. The film is like a really well done train wreck. And you just feel you have to sit through it.

Sense and not sense

Nothing exciting once again to report.
I am at the Albion library today and it is crazy busy but with the most boring questions I have ever encountered. I am used to the repition of the job but right now all I am hearing are the same things over and over. "Can I use the computer?" "Can I get a library card?" and the answer is yes, and let me show you how.
There is the not so exciting fact that it took me an hour to get here today. Bleh! That bites, and this is the library that I was asked to apply for. I am not sure I can take it here. I will see how today goes.
But the other bad thing is that this heat makes me feel icky. I am all hot and gross feeling and the air in here is not fresh so that is making it worse.
Save me.

Ooopsie

Last night at work I had my first pre-teen book club meeting here. It went well.
however I did manage to write on what I thought was a wipe board. It is not. I used wipe board marker, but apparently when you just write on a metal surface that looks like a wipe board with an erasable marker it still remains permanent.
My my my.
And I only have 30 more hours to go before I am permanent permanent. Here's hoping that no one thinks that is worth my dismissal.
And other than that there is nothing going on. Wow . . . boring.

That made me want to vomit

The hallway in my building smells awful.
It started to stink yesterday morning.
I was leaving for the gym at 6:00 yesterday morning, when I got back an hour later is smelled even worse. I wanted to hurl.
By the time I left for work at 8:15 it was even worse.
I had to light incense in my apartment when I got home just to make it tolerable within my apartment.
I can not even begin to describe this smell, it is like overcooked cabbage and really really strong pan asian food.
It is horrible.
I feel sorry for my cats.
If it smells this bad to me, then it must smell even worse for them.

You'll wish you had never run away with the spoons until the cows come home

FUCK!
Yesterday was a very bad day.
I hate it when things happen that I have no control over and they then trigger fight or flight reactions from my childhood and then I end up feeling awful.
Yesterday at work these two women had a huge fight over crayons. CRAYONS!!!! The one woman was ready to take the other woman out and beat her. It was ridiculous and I was the one who was trying to diffuse the situation and to no avail. The women were pretending that I wasn't even there.
I hated it.
I felt so helpless and useless and like I was five years old and it was my parents fighting.
It ruined my day.
Yesterday I hated everyone.
