When I was little I thought that if you ate an apple seed and then ate some dirt and then drank some water that an apple tree would root and would then grow inside you.
I thought how cool it would be if that would happen.
Of course there was no science behind this, it was all just crazy daydreaming with myself, but still the idea that we were organic and connected to the world around us seem so harmless - that I could not even imagine that if this were to happen that it would likely kill me, or that my digestion system would remove everything.
So maybe in the end there would have been a tree somewhere. A tree that I had created. Just not inside of me.

Mean and evil

I truly dislike rude people who take up three seats on the subway when it is busy.
(I dislike them when it is not busy, but it is unforgivable during peak hours).
If they do not want people that close to them then they should either stand or not take the subway (I realize that is not a viable option always) or just suck it up and go home and shower and scrub with lye and bleach if they need to get the stink of others off of them.
Sheesh.

It has just been announced that Juliana will have a live album out before the first snowfall (her words, not mine).
I am super excited.
A new Some Girls album (Juliana's the lead singer) and a live album both in one year.
Oh how I adore her.

So I ordered my Some Girls "Crushing Love" cd way back in May. It finally arrived today. I guess it took that long to get here from america.
Strange.
But in other news, the Cardigans album "Super Extra Gravity" just got released in America. We have had it in Canada for almost a year now. HA HA to the U.S. we are better than them in so many ways.

Wow,
okay so lots of crazy things are going on in my life right now. And I have no idea what to write about here.
I used to write about everything, but that is becoming much harder for me. I have some intentions of maintaining this blog, but at the same time I don't know if I can handle the fact that most of what I want to write about feels far too personal to post here.
Most recently I had a fight with HR here at my job.
I won the fight!
They thought I was still on probation. I am not. So all the jobs I have applied for in the last two months, I have not been applicable for. So now they have to review all the positions to see if I was applicable. (and they are not going to tell the truth if I am, since they will have to do the re-hiring process and if I got it then whoever got it first will have a grievance against the library - so no luck there)

Once again . . . literature

I have discovered a new book that I love.
It is called Fruit, by Brian Francis.
I think this book is amazing.
It is about a young man discovering his homosexuality and it is through his arguments with his nipples.
Yes, that is correct. He is fighting puberty by fighting with his nipples.
It is awesome and funny and very humane.
I highly recomend it.
