Help Desk

My job can actually at times be like this.

Daisy Dead Petals

Recently I have returned to this song by Tori Amos. I don't know why but it speaks greatly to me.
Also I have become a huge fan of Goldfrapp, having fallen madly in love with all but their first album (which I just find too mellow). and have a playlist of all their best songs (in my opinion) on my I-pod.
Music is so great.
But at the same time I find that music from before in my life, from before a certain, untangible timeline, really depresses me.
For example that song by Tori.
I don't know why.
I have always loved how music has had such a fantastic impact, that when I listen to some songs that they remind me of the first time I heard them. For example anytime I listen to Kirsty MacColl's album titanic days I can smell Guess for men perfume, which I bought the same day as I bought that album, which was also the day that I saw Kids in the Hall for a taping of their show.
Or whenever I hear the Juliana Hatfield Three album I am reminded of driving around in my parents car.
But there are some songs which seem to move me back to a very dark place. And unfortunatley, I love those songs, but also it seems that I can no longer listen to them. But I really want to.
Do they have music rehab?
