Crash and Burn

There was another stabbing at TPL this past weekend.
After the gang related incident at Malvern on thursday night (which got no publicity at all) there was a stabbing at Toronto Reference Library where a patron attacked another patron.
A plain clothes policeman caught the offender and they are being charged. The person who was attacked is fine with non-life threatening wounds (whatever that means, word on the street is that they have a cut on their cheek).
So how come so much violence in so little an amount of time?
And even more so, why is the TRL attack receiving news airtime but the Malvern attack not?
Kind of bothers me.

So these are just crazy drunk kids taking it out on library patrons? Wacky and sad.
I play capture the flag on Fridays and there are jock frat boy guys who are really drunk who steal it and stuff. But they can't start a fight with 60 people. That's been pretty fun.. having a mob of 60 people chasing the violent, stupid drunk guys.
I know not all greeks are like that and maybe the kids at your library aren't greeks.. but drunk kids are annoying anyway.

When does crime in Malvern ever get proper attention? It's sad.

It is true crime in that area is ignored. But I kind of hoped that it would be less ignored since this dealt directly with children's safety and safety in a public space.
The thing that really irks me is there are still countless parents who blindy think that the library is such a safe space and that nothing negative could happen to their children there. That is the awful part.
